Olly Resting
Rico Resting
We decided that we would add two more cats to our family, why, i don’t know but having a border collie named Billy and a black female cat called Irma some might say we have enough pets, but the this very day I start this blog we lost Irma due to severe kidney failure, very sad indeed, she was 12, unsociable, invisible but always hungry.
Now for the boys, Olly who we have nicknamed Oliver Wagstaff and Rico. Strange names yes indeed but when I tell you why it will be come clearer.
May 2009 both were born, Rico came from a relation in Newcastle Staffs, while Olly was born in Stanley Village nr Stoke on Trent .
Rico was first to arrive Saturday morning, he got out of his carry box and immediately made himself at home, Billy gave him the once over and a few hisses from Rico the initiation was over, welcome Rico.
Why name him Rico,, well, after a laid back cat we lost a few months earlier Busby, Busby walked like a Jamaican, slow and care free, he reminded my work colleague of a Stoke City footballer named Ricardo Fuller, so when he arrived we had no problem naming him Rico, short for Ricardo.
Now then Olly, he arrived about an hour later, he swaggered in to the house and straight away made a beeline for Rico, he just wanted to play but Rico was not so welcoming and hissed, Olly was to show character from the off, he just kept going back for more,, they made friends by the next day and the adventures began, more so for Olly, Rico just behaves and plays it cool. Why name him Olly, Oliver Wagstaff, well we had already agreed to call him Olly, but he has strange habits, one being that he always wags his tail like a dog, when he walks up to you he wags his tail frantically, hence waggy, which grew to Wagstaff,, Oliver Wagstaff.
